Free Wedding Websites

I’d like to set up a website for my wedding. Anyone know of any good (and free) websites which to to this?
Have seen www.weddingpath.co.uk/
Does anyone know if its any good?
I second theknot.com, they have a lot of options for customizing it and all of the information you could imagin is there. You can add a password and your friends can sign the guestbook. You can post registry information which is nice because then that takes away the pressure of “where are you registered?”
In addition theknot is a great resouce for so many other things, like ideas, coupons, favors, accessories & more! They have a budgeter and a checklist so that you don’t forget anything – for the DIY Bride it is a MUST!! It’s been a life saver.
Good Luck!

Excerpt: Achille et Polyxène (Achilles and Polyxena ) is a tragédie lyrique containing a prologue and five acts based on Virgil ’s Aeneid with a French libretto by Jean Galbert de Campistron . The opera ’s overture and first act were composed by Jean-Baptiste Lully , who died from a conducting injury before he could complete the score. The prologue and the remaining acts are the work of his pupil Pascal Collasse who finished the work on on March 22, 1687, eight months after Lully’s death. The opera was first performed at the Palais Royale in Paris on November 7, 1687.Analysis of the libretto and music The libretto for this opera differs from those of Lully’s earlier works with Philippe Quinault . Typically, Lully would begin his operas with a lively prologue, but this work has a somber prologue in which the Muses lament the king’s desire for military expansion. Another difference is the tragic and somber ending of this opera in Act V. Lully usually ended his operas with a rousing ensemble number but this opera closes with the suicide of the heroine. The end of Act IV, the wedding scene, does contain a vibrant ensemble number at its close which would be more in keeping with a typical finale of one of Lully’s opera. Roles Recordings To date, this opera has not yet been recorded, although individual selections have been recorded by various artists.Sources Foot notes Websites (URLs online) A hyperlinked version of this chapter is at Acis et Galatée (Acis and Galatea ) is an opera |

As the son of Neoptolemus I and brother of Olympias , he was an uncle of Alexander the Great . He came at an early age to the court of Philip II of Macedon , and after the Grecian fashion became the object of his attachment. Philip in requital made him king of Epirus, after dethroning his uncle Arymbas . When Olympias was repudiated by her husband, 337 BC, she went to her brother, and endeavoured to induce him to make war on Philip.Philip, however, declined the contest, and formed a second alliance with Alexander I by giving him his daughter (Alexander I’s niece) Cleopatra in marriage (336 BC). In 334 BC, Alexander I, at the request of the Greek colony of Taras (in Magna Graecia ), crossed over into Italy , to aid them in battle against several Italic tribes , the Lucanians and Bruttii . After a victory over the Samnites and Lucanians near Paestum , 332 BC, he made a treaty with the Romans . Success still followed his arms. He took Heraclea from the Lucanians, and Terina and Sipontum from the Bruttii. Through the treachery of some Lucanian exiles, he was compelled to engage under unfavourable circumstances near Pandosia , on the banks of the Acheron , and was killed by the hand of one of the exiles , as he was crossing the river. He left a son, Neoptolemus , and a daughter, Cadmea. References (URLs online) Websites (URLs online) A hyperlinked version of this chapter is at For other uses, |

Goodwin of Bruton Parish Church approached philanthropist John D. Rockfeller, Jr. with the idea of preserving and restoring the historic buildings of Williamsburg. After strolling through the great trees behind Bassett Hall in contemplation, Rockefeller agreed. Goodwin later suggested: “I wish you would buy Bassett Hall for yourself. It would give you a charming vantage point from which to play with the vision and dream which you see.” Bassett Hall became the Rockefellers’ residence during their twice-annual visits to Williamsburg. Open to the Public The Rockefeller family bequeathed Bassett Hall to Colonial Williamsburg in 1979. The home is now open to the public and appears much as it did in the 1930s and 40s when the Rockefellers made it their home. Websites (URLs online) A hyperlinked version of this chapter |
