While diamonds typically feature as the center stone, and often as the side stones too, again emeralds, sapphires and rubies are also popular choices, and these can be placed in whatever arrangement best suits. Three-stone rings can be found with raised settings and also in the form of stone-set bands, but in either case this style of ring is often particularly favored by those who appreciate the sense of symmetry that they provide.
Multi-Stone Engagement Rings – The Bold Choice
When a more intricate setting is desired, multi-stone engagement rings make an excellent choice. Typically, multi-stone designs tend to feature a larger centerpiece stone surrounded by auxiliary stones in a cluster setting, an arrangement which often suits ladies with larger hands or broader fingers. One of the great beauties of multi-stone rings is in the variety that they offer, both in terms of design and because they allow for a wider range of stones to be incorporated. In some cases, designs can be quite large and bold, although more delicate examples can also be found.
